We're a family owned and operated business.

Jarrad been drilling since his teenage years; working with his Dad and his company Ozdrill. Starting with water bores and over the years broadening his skills to geotechnical and environmental drilling.  Working with various other geotech companies expanded his skills and knowledge. And then going  onto mine-sites to learn more about RC and air control.  Rio Tinto gave Jarrad the opportunity to gain certs, including cert iv medic, in mine site emergency response, snake handling, mental health, D&A and mines rescue.  All this, along with his supervisor experience makes him more than ready to run his own company and be an excellent mentor to our up and coming offsider.

                                  Samantha O'Loughlin

​Sam is a country girl, coming from up the midwest region in farming country.   Her background is farming, truck driving, personal training. Now she's managing director of Western Geotec.   Sam loves all things out doors, nature and wildlife.  And being Mum to her three boys Lucas, Jimmy and Connor and baby girl Billie.

Lucas Butcher

Lucas is Sam's oldest boy.  Starting life in the country and up north. At 16 he went and worked on a cattle station for 2 years and then returned home to step into the family business as an offsider.  Picking it up quickly he's doing really well.
In his spare time Lucas is all about his cars, somewhat of a backyard mechanic.

Chris Medcalf

Chris has been diamond drilling for years on mines.  Coming to work for us is the start of his geotechnical drilling career.  Chris is our trainee driller and learning fast.  

Dane Cody

Dane has been offsiding and doing various other hard working jobs before coming to us.  This is first time working geotech.  Together we have long term goals have training him up to be running drill projects in the years ahead.
